• A New Paradigm: A paradigm is a pattern of thinking and assumptions about something. BodhiCare™ is a new paradigm for providing and receiving healthcare. It is founded in love and compassion for all people combined with the science of healing the whole person in the context of their life circumstances.
  • Integrated Health Care: Integrated Care at BodhiCare™ is a synthesis of care modalities: Eastern medicine, Western medicine, Naturopathic medicine, Complementary medicine, Alternative medicine, and healing approaches from the Ageless Wisdom.
  • Patient Controlled Care: BodhiCare™ patients are invited to participate in care decisions to the extent that they want to exert control and/or be involved in decisions about their care. Patients are in authentic, loving partnerships with their healers.
  • Healers: Healers are licensed practitioners who are involved in decisions about a patient’s care and the evaluation of the results of treatments and therapies. Physicians, practitioners and nurses at BodhiCare™ are referred to as healers.
  • Caregivers: Caregivers are the staff at BodhiCare™ that have education, degrees, or special training to do their work directly or indirectly caring for patients. A few examples of caregivers are radiology care technicians, laboratory care technicians, patient care stewards and food services care team members.
  • Enlightened Healthcare: Buddha attained enlightenment under the bodhi tree. The definition of bodhi is supreme knowledge or enlightenment. We chose bodhi as part of our name to reflect the new paradigm that enlightenment represents. The heart shaped leaves of the bodhi tree represent the hearts in true a healing hospital.
  • Healing: Often healing is viewed as curing. However, authentic healing relationships enable a sense of control, hope and optimism about life regardless of one’s degree of health. Wherever there is love, there is healing.

Welcome to BodhiCare™. What does our name mean? The definition of bodhi is supreme knowledge or enlightenment. We chose bodhi as part of our name to reflect the new healthcare paradigm that enlightenment represents. The heart shaped leaves of the bodhi tree represent the healing hearts and love expressed through our work as a healing hospital and outpatient center.

BodhiCare™ is in the start up phase of creating an integrated care healing hospital and outpatient center that embodies the healing environment necessary to promote health. We cannot see or treat patients, yet; however, if you will add this link to your favorites or bookmarks on your browser, you will be able to easily check on our progress toward opening our doors. You can also sign up for our newsletter, which has updates on our progress and emerging thoughts and philosophy on integrated care.

The Future of Integrated Health Care

At BodhiCare™ we will actively seek to engage in healing relationships with patients. In fact, we want our hospital and our outpatient center to be designed through the eyes and perspectives of patients. Your suggestions and ideas for the kind of healing hospital you would want to be in, if it was necessary to go to a hospital, will be very helpful to receive.

The outpatient center will assist patients in maintaining or improving health, as well as provide integrated care health education in the community. We are also planning a foundation to support research on a variety of topics including new approaches to health, integrated medicine, and integrative care. The BodhiCare™ foundation will also support specific programs for the hospital and outpatient center.

Integrated care at BodhiCare™ will also mean the integration of physicians and practitioners providing care as a team in partnership with patients.
